I really don't know what I could possibly say other than THANK YOU, so very much

The serendipity of getting to experience the End being open at Prestigious MC this weekend was truly nothing I expected...and there's really not enough words in the English language for me to express my extreme gratitude for having gotten to experience it.

I love you guys/gals there, and yeah the End being open (AND with an amazing spawn!) was nothing short of the very best. I simply cannot even begin to describe how I felt about it, other than that it was the truest manifestation of anything an Ender Queen could possibly ever dream of.

On that note, goodnight!

Yeah...about the blog reset

Long time no post. Sorry about that, to anyone who actually keeps an eye on this spot (I think the numbers of you who do can perhaps be counted on fewer than the fingers of a single hand, but apologies nonetheless).

Since I'd not posted for more than a year anyway, I entirely nuked the blog's posts in mid-January. Looking back to try to gain some semblance of understanding, I feel that I had reached a pivotal yet turbulent time in my Minecraft existence on public servers that...after wandering diverse corners for more than 3 months to gain a better understanding of exactly what it is that captivates and entertains me most about this admittedly obsessive block game...I can now conclusively state:

  1. First and foremost: I love Minecraft.
  2. It's okay to bounce around and enjoy different servers and their diverse offerings: I'm a player, not a captive, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I can have my homes, my adventures, my quests, and whatever other aspects of game enjoyment are important to me either concentrated on one server or spread out wherever I wish them to be...with no explanation necessary.
  3.  I play the game FOR the game: if I wanted to run a public server and/or deal with any aspect relating to doing so, then I would. I don't want any of that at all. When I hop onto a public server, I only want to chill out, have some fun, and accomplish whatever my goals as a player happen to be.
  4. Asshats and asshat-type behavior from time to time by even non-asshats exist because that's how humans are. I can't change this stuff, but I can get away from it and will do so as I wish: there's no rule stating that one must remain signed in and tolerate annoyances...and if it's not my server, it's not up to me how such things are dealt with anyway. Hopping off of a server when irritating factors are at a high point is actually a good thing anyway for the player (in terms of their sanity and desire to continue playing long-term, anyway) as well as the server (since staff may begin to see irritating trends that lead to players signing out of their server).
  5. Finally (and though repetitive of #1): I love Minecraft.

There's bound to be some reading this who are either taken aback or downright pissed off by the things I've stated above, but I believe that the vast majority understand what's been said and applaud it. The only one who holds a right to be annoyed by any of it would be me...and instead, I feel liberated.
